We believe art holds the power to connect, to challenge, and to expand our understanding of the human experience. Our Art for Everyone collections galleries and our evolving Fleming Reimagined vision reflect our commitment to redefining what a university museum can be.
The Fleming plays a vital role at the 91°µÍøÊÓƵ and is part of a small group of colleges and universities (only about one-third in the U.S.) that have art museums on campus. As part of a public research university, we see the Museum as more than a collection of objects. It is an extension of the classroom and a platform for both joy and critical inquiry. We are proud to be a place where students find inspiration, make meaningful connections, and see their own experiences reflected.
From medical students using art to strengthen diagnostic observation skills, to future educators developing classroom tools, to student curators designing exhibitions, the Fleming encourages learning that is active, personal, and collaborative. We are deeply committed to this work and need your help to get it done. The Fleming relies on community support and donations to fund events, exhibitions, collections care, and more. A gift of $25 supports our continued commitment to provide free admission for all. A gift of $175 allows us to increase programming materials. A gift of $1,000 or more gives us the opportunity to fund undergraduate internships, artist’s talks, and so much more.
