BIO

Dr. Morris earned her undergraduate degree from Fairfield University and her medical degree from Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She completed her residency as chief resident in family medicine at the 91°µÍøÊÓÆµ Family Medicine Residency. 

Since joining the Larner College of Medicine faculty in 2014, Dr. Morris has played a key role in residency education, including as Associate Program Director and Program Director for the Family Medicine Residency. As a clinical teacher, she has been recognized twice as the Residency Preceptor of the Year. A champion for primary care and workforce development, Dr. Morris led the initiative to expand the residency cohort. This advocacy extends regionally and nationally through leadership with the Vermont Academy of Family Physicians and the Vermont Medical Society including as a past-president of the Vermont Academy of Family Physicians.    

Dr. Morris' work includes advocating to reduce administrative burden, improve utilization of technology, and improve primary care recruitment and retention for primary care providers throughout Vermont. As Associate Dean for Primary Care, she is also a member of Vermont’s Health Care Workforce Development Advisory Committee and the Vermont Steering Committee for Comprehensive Primary Care.
